Quesnel is the commercial centre of the North Cariboo and has a trading
population of approximately 25,000 people within a radius of
approximately 50 kilometres of the city centre. It
is located in the central interior of British Columbia, Canada, at the
confluence of the Quesnel &
Fraser Rivers. The city is well served by rail, road and air connections
to other major centres in B.C., Alberta and beyond. Quesnel is on
Highway 97, the major north-south corridor in B.C., and is 120
kilometres from Highway 16, the major east-west corridor from central
